Meet the d'Entremonts!
Hi! We're Sam and Mary Austin d'Entremont. We have been at Emmaus Church for over seven years, and live in the heart of Buford with our girls (9-year-old Kendall and 18-month-old Karis), our rescue dog Truman, and two cats. Our jobs seem like polar opposites - Sam is a prosecuting attorney, and Mary Austin is a nurse - but there is more common ground there than you might think! We try to be intentional about spending time together, with our friends, and in the Word. We're excited to be leading an MC Group in Buford this year, and we'd love to have you become part of our community of faith, love, and mutual encouragement!
God has put the idea of helping foster a loving, supportive, and accountable Christian community on our hearts for some time now. We feel like MC Groups have been instrumental in our growth spiritually and as a family, so we are excited to lead one to help provide that benefit to other families from our church!
Each night starts with some informal social (and snacking!) time followed by prayer and our discussion of the passage for that night. We’ll encourage and facilitate conversation from everyone with the goal of forging strong connections through shared faith and experiences.
Sam is a musician and likes to play with local Celtic groups; he also enjoys cooking and researching random subjects at all hours.
Mary Austin enjoys photography and doing projects around the house. We both enjoy spending time outside, food, and being around our family and friends.
Sam’s current favorites are Acts and Romans.
Mary Austin’s current favorite is Ruth.
