Meet the Leaders!

Hey! We're Steve and Donna Walker, and we've been married for 45 years. Steve is originally from Indiana and Donna from South Carolina. We have lived in the Buford area for 25+ years and 10 of those years we have attended Emmaus. We have a daughter Ginnie, who lives in Stone Mountain. We serve on the Greeter and Welcome Desk teams. We're looking forward to continuing to lead our Missional Community Group this year. You are welcome to make a visit!

Why are you leading a Missional Community Group?

We have lead small groups for years and enjoyed the exchange of ideas about the scriptures as iron sharpens iron. The fellowship of group members makes this time a highlight of our week.

How does a typical night unfold in your group?

Tasty snacks & fellowship for about 30 minutes. Open in prayer, ask for blessings of the past week then get into the questions. We finish with prayer requests and prayer then finish up with more snacks and fellowship. Typically lots of laughter!

What are some of your favorite things to do?

Steve and Donna enjoy watching the Braves, going to movies, especially Christian movies, traveling and socializing with friends.

If you could only have one book, besides the Bible, on a deserted island, what would it be? Why?

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers – shows God’s steadfast love
