What are Restore Groups?
Restore Groups is a recovery ministry that helps those who are walking through suffering and those who are in sin to experience the restoring grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of their circumstances. While the term "recovery ministry" can draw up the feeling that it is only for the addict, this ministry is for each of us. There isn't a single person who doesn't need to be constantly reminded of the gospel and its benefits as we seek to grow in Christlikeness.
Format of Restore Groups
Restore Groups are formatted as a nine week journey walking through the Exodus narrative. There is teaching time each week covering a portion of Exodus, there is reading throughout the week in Exodus, other passages in the Bible, and a book written by Mike Wilkerson called Redemption: Freed by Jesus from the Idols We Worship and the Wounds We Carry.
Each week will also involve group discussions separated by gender so that honest and vulnerable discussion about each participant's situation may occur.
Foundations of Restore Groups
Psalm 23:3-4
Psalm 23 teaches us that the work of restoration is the Lord's, and while he uses secondary means like his Word and other people, it is ultimately his work that restores us. We also see from it that God is actively with us in our suffering and sin. He leads us and guides us through the valley toward paths of righteousness.
John 17:17
John 17:17 shows us that one of the primary means that God sanctifies us through is his Word. That's why Restore Groups are primarily structured around the Scriptures.
Colossians 2:13-14
Colossians 2:13-14 remind us that the believer is eternally united to Jesus Christ through faith in his death and resurrection. This union with Christ is the foundation of all of our growth in Christ, including our killing of sin and our enduring of suffering.
We must not offer people a system of redemption, a set of insights and principles. We offer people a Redeemer.
Schedule
Weekend Kickoff
Restore Groups begin with a weekend kickoff on where the expectations are set, the gospel is preached, and the participants get to share their stories with their group.

Weekly Gatherings
Restore Groups will meet on Monday nights at 6:30pm and end at 9:00pm. These evenings will consist of teaching and group discussions.

Participation
In order to promote healthy and vulnerable discussion, we ask every participant to be in attendance every week. While emergencies occur at unexpected times, we ask that apart from an emergency, each participant come with their reading done and ready to listen and discuss. Therefore, please look over your calendar and commit to being at each of the scheduled dates. If you cannot make it to multiple dates, we’d still love to come alongside you while you wait for another cycle where you can be present.
