Reeds - Hey! We're Trent & Christina Reed, and we're excited to be leading a group again this year! We have 3 wonderful kiddos. Emerson is 6, Boden is 2 and Conrad is 2 months. We'd love to have you visit our group!
Shakleys - We are recent Atlanta residents, having moved here a few years ago from Chattanooga, TN. With three kids under the age of six (Selah, 6; Caleb, 3; Lenya, 1), we enjoy getting outside and staying active. We have been married for 15 years and are passionate about adoption. We live in Suwanee and have been at Emmaus for three years.
Describe how a typical night of your group unfolds!
We’ll start by sharing a snack and fellowship. Then we’ll dive into the questions from this week’s sermon and close with prayer.
Why are you leading a Missional Community Group?
Reeds - Missional community groups have been an integral part of our lives since before we were married and are ultimately what led to our salvation. We enjoy developing new relationships with people of all different ages and stages of life. Our desire is to encourage one another toward a deeper relationship with our savior through weekly fellowship and discussion.
Shakleys - We are co-leading with Trenton and Christina Reed. They have been a great example of leadership and what it means to promote healthy community within the body of Christ.
What are some of your favorite things to do?Reeds - Hiking, kayaking the Chattahoochee, family game night.
Shakleys - Eat good food (and cook/bake it), play board games, spend time outside, go to the beach, and read great books.
What is your favorite book of the Bible?
Shakleys - How does Moses make his coffee? Hebrews it.
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have one book (in addition to the Bible) what would it be?
Reeds - Physician’s Desk Reference. Hollowed out. Inside, waterproof matches, iodine tablets. Beet seeds, protein bars, NASA blanket.
Shakleys - Ruthless Trust by Brennan Manning and The Ultimate Guide to Island Survival by Bear Grylls
